Because we want you to be on the cutting edge of new lighting technology in the fight against pathogens, the TLA Team is pleased to announce the release of three new fixtures in the HDM family from Acuity Brands featuring Care222 technology.
Lighting professionals have an unprecedented opportunity to harness the power of UV to reduce pathogenic bioburden. Read on to explore the latest UV light disinfection technologies from the HDM family.
Introducing the power of Care222 technology
Far-UVC light, specifically far-UVC light filtered to the 222nm wavelength, inactivates viruses and bacteria at energy levels that do not penetrate living tissue in skin or beyond the tear layer in the eyes, allowing this UV wavelength to be used in occupied spaces. While the wavelength does not have enough range to penetrate deep into the skin and eyes, filtered 222nm far-UVC light has enough range to traverse viruses and bacteria which are much smaller in size than human cells.
