Two of our favorite product families from Santa & Cole are adding new members: presenting the Cirio wall lamp and Tekiò P4!
Cirio
Inspired by the majestic lamps of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Antonio Arola designed Cirio in 2010. Today, the family has expanded and is presented as a system that can easily be set in a variety of compositions.
Our favorite element of Cirio’s design is the shade. Reminiscent of a candle for its shape, texture, and warmth of its light, the varying material options combined with LED capsules can be used to create different ambiances. We especially love the porcelain of Sargadelos (Galicia, Spain) that creates a candle-like warmth.
This month, Santa & Cole has released a new Cirio wall lamp that supports the full range of shade options by a minimalist aluminum line.

Tekiò
London designer Anthony Dickens was inspired by the traditional Japanese lantern made from washi paper, which dates back to the 14th century. Isamu Noguchi used this paper to create the famous Akari lamps, and it is now a ubiquitous part of Japanese life.
Tekiò is the Japanese word for adaptation. Here at TLA, we love how this line of luminaires combines traditional and avant-garde to create unique contemporary designs that feature modern lighting structures carefully dressed in handmade paper.
The new Tekiò P4 joins Tekiò Circular P8, and Tekiò Oval P12, as a fresh option for those seeking to capture the contrast between the ancestral and avant-garde.
