Hi, I’m Kristin Murphy, and on behalf of the TLA Lighting Sales Team, I’m excited to share some of our five new favorite decorative luminaires that every designer should have on their radar, and even better on a short list for their next project!
Artemide: Alphabet of Light Systems
Why we love it
Expanding on the Alphabet of Light Letter Wall and Light Suspension, the newest family member has grown into an expanded continuous and comfortable light with new curved elements so it can be developed with increasing freedom throughout space. It is a basic principle that generates an open system implementing just a handful of basic modules.
Thanks to specific geometric proportions, these modules can be combined together to form endless lighting structures, from the most elemental to the most complex, both linear and curved. Let your imagination flow.
Cerno: Amicus
Why we love it
The Amicus LED Pendant was inspired by Moroccan design with their impressive work and enamoring detail, and intricacy of perforated metal light fixtures. Available with a Brushed Brass dome shade complemented by Walnut, Dark Stained Walnut, or White Washed Oak finished hardware. 2700K and 3500K lamping options available. UL listed, damp locations.
Eureka: Outline
Why we love it
The real story for Outline is found in the optical design of the luminaire’s head. Comprised of 72 chips – high pitch on a circular board and anti-glare TIR optics. Choose from recessed to (semi)surface mount to suspended versions with single, dual, or three banked heads, each luminaire head producing 404, 730, or 1245 lumens each. Beam spread is 30° for the time being—but expect to see more options soon! 360 degree rotation with a 40° tilt….
Flos: Infra-Structure Episode 2
Why we love it
The reinterpretation of an icon: the unique design of Infra-Structure evolves with new elements that make up a subtle, incredibly versatile tubular structure. Designed by Vincent Van Duysen, this special connection system combines vertical and horizontal parts to create three-dimensional configurations in infinite variations using linear and geometric modules.
Marset: FollowMe Colors
Why we love it
Few lamps have caused as much buzz as FollowMe. This daring pioneer of portable lighting has become a design icon in just a few short years. Its simple, airy lines, its tilting shade and its varying light intensity have established it as a beautiful and practical lamp. Now, FollowMe takes a step further by offering an expanded collection with several colors: pink, blue, terracotta and green. The handle is still made of wood, painted in this case.
